OMG! I wish I had Joanne’s storytelling mind, because this book, is a great addition to the portfolio of amazing books, I have read from her. The story is not just about the romance between Noah and Abby, but is interwoven with the painful issue of child neglect and the effects it has on the child in the long term. The book took me on an emotional rollercoaster but also kept me on the edge of my seat. She can see the friendship blossoming and she makes it difficult for them to have any time together. But Noah handles Skylah’s concerns in a caring and delightful manner, including her in their activities and bonding with her in a way that surprises even him.
