Tradie romance, a new sub-genre?

Check me out, on site, boots and all!!!

As many of you know, we’re currently renovating our home, and the tradesmen I deal with are super nice. When they found out I write romance, they encouraged me to write a “tradie romance”. What do you think? A new sub-genre? Much better than “Lust in the Dust” 😉

PS – tradie = tradesman (Aussie slang)

  1. Our landscapers started work today… It was hot… Very… Over 30 degrees… I definitely think you’re onto something 🙂

  2. Yes, I think there would be many readers up for a Tradie Romance 🙂 I am writing a “working class hero” now, and made reference to another yummy character in a tool belt, in my last book 🙂

    1. Me too 😉 I know, there’s something sexy about a guy who can create things!!!

Thanks for the encouragement, I think I need to write a book with a sexy tradie 🙂

  3. What about a tradie who is actually filling in for one of his lads, get the job done at all costs, hands on, organic multimillionaire who started it all from the tray of his ute. . . It has merit

  4. I don’t think I’ve read a tradie romance before so I say, go for it Joanne! And the way you write I reckon it will be a fun and incredible read.

    1. *I’m blushing* – thanks so much Sue 🙂

Many years ago, I read a fab romance (wish I’d kept it) about a rich woman a blue-collar worker, and how they were able to overcome their issues to be together. Never read another tradie romance since….I might need to write one 😉 Thanks for the encouragement xo

  5. You’re welcome, Joanne! And by the way you look gorgeous and those boots are awesome! xoxo
